Table Tennis

Diya Chitale is an emerging table tennis star of India and recently represented India at the Commonwealth Games 2022. The right handed paddler is known for her aggressive style of playing has an ability to completely dismantle the opposition on most occasion. She figured out her passion towards table tennis at very early age.
Diya trains for 5-6 hours every day to ensure that her mind and body is well prepared ahead of every game with time she has learned the art of strategizing the game.

She had also learn the nuances of table tennis under Coach Peter Angel in Germany and her ultimate aim is to represent India in upcoming Paris Olympics 2024.

She has now been selected to represent India at the World Team Championships to be held in China.

Her current World Ranking is 135th, and India Rank is 3rd. She won her first ever WTT Tournament Gold medal in 2022, and has 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze to her name.

She has won many medals at the national and international level in various age groups, including senior categories. In 2019 she became the youngest female player to achieve the Double Crown in the U18 and U21 National Championships. i.e Winning the national title in both categories in the same year.

With 8 time national champion Kamlesh Mehta as her mentor and guide, Peter Engel as her specialised International Coach, and Sachin Shetty as her Head Coach, she has a very strong team working on her game, helping her achieve her dreams.
