Pickleball is a paddle sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications.

Recently, the first-ever Pickleball Super League was held in Mumbai, at the Khar Gymkhana club from 16-18 November. A fantastic event played between 6 teams, over 3 days garnered great interest and excitement.

We are delighted to have a been a part of this event as co-owners of the team Mixed Pickles. With 5 wins out of 5 in the group stage, Mixed Pickles qualified in second place behind Ekta Parivaar, who qualified higher due to more games won.

Mixed Pickles claimed the third spot after beating Dink Killers in the 3/4th place playoff, after falling short to the eventual champions Super Smashers.

A fantastic event, and a fantastic opportunity for the entire team of SportWise India.

Yet another step in the growth of sports, and sporting culture in our country.
